Won't Hangup

    Hi, I have a problem with the following scenario, anyone encountered this before? Thanks.

    I am using TDM400 card. If I call in to the ZAP Trunk, and select an extension, the extension rings. However, even if the calling party hangs up, the SIP phone at the extension continues to ring endlessly.

    Hi there

    You have to check the zaptel.conf and zapata.conf files. There is configuration related to the dial tone, reorder tone, busy tone parameters that asterisk needs so it can detect the correct tone and hangup the call.

    you need uncoment and edit the following lines
    in the file zapata.conf

    # cd /etc/asterisk
    # nano zapata.conf

    ; busydetect=yes <<<disabled
    ; busycount=7 <<<disabled


    busydetect=yes <<<active
    busycount=7 <<<active

    that the simple way of hang up the line otherwise
    in your inbound route set the max ring time. and select
    terminate call if no answer

    if the extension habe voicemail then it will automatic
    hang up if there is no answer

    or if you set up ring groups in hunt mode select
    terminate call if no answer.
