    Hey everyone,

I have my Elastix box all set up and working now. All my devices connect locally to it from the office, except for 2 SPA-3000 devices at my home and condo, they connect over the Internet to it.

Right now I have it set to DMZ to open all ports to my Asterisk box just while I got it running. I want to turn that off and only open the ports that are necessary, and then VPN in if I need to connect to the GUI etc.

Is it just port 5060 that needs to be open? I use 3 VoIP providers but I assume that just comes through the Internet and wouldn't matter if ports are open, I'm thinking it's more for the 2 SPA-3000 devices. Just wanted to check before I go closing ports and taking down my system thanks!

    This should help.

    Forward ports...

UDP 5060 to asterisk IP address
UDP 10001 - 20000 to asterisk IP address
and if you plan to use IAX UDP 4569 to asterisk IP address
