    Dear Experts,
I have already installed 32 bits version of Elastix on Core 2 duo E7500 intel processor with 2 mb ram on intel G41 motherboard. But now I am wondering if the 64 bits versions will running faster compare to the 32 bits version and would like to try to install it. My question is : is it true that the 64 bits version will running faster than 32 bits version on the same hardware? Is that much faster or the different is not significant? what are the issue in regards to the 64 bits version?

Awaiting your respond soon and thank you very much.

    Best regards,
    Ismed

It migh run a bit faster, but the best advantage you would have is when you use more than 4gb of ram. With 32 bits you can't use more than 4GB of ram.

    1. what are the advantages in using more than 2 gigs ram?
    2. beside a bit faster, then what are the other advantages in using 64 bits elastix?

awaiting your respond and thank you very much.

Like any Linux or O.S, more there's RAM, less the Swap is used. The data are more fast transmitted with the RAM than with a hard disk. So, more performance.

You would need more than 2 GB of ram in big implementations.

I don't believe there are much more advantages, other than uses the hardware in its full power.
