can we do email@example.com instead of myname.mydomain.com
for webmail login / pop3 / imap ... ?
When creating an email account in the domain menu, you can edit the mail address at the first webmail login to associate the email format to your created domain.
The domain should be reachable from the Internet to send emails to exterior with a DNS A entry for example.
See Elastix without tears page 204-205.
Thanks for your help...
I know how to change email address format.
I meant that "can we use "firstname.lastname@example.org" instead of "myname.mydomain.com" as account name for imap, pop3 and webmail login.
If we consider compatiblility to other email server, we should use " email@example.com " for account id.
