Resolution: The problem had nothing to do with the DNS, it was related to DHCP not being set to static, another device took over the "reserved ip" when rebooting.

I was trying to implement Elastix on the Web GUI and I changed the DNS address in the network configuration.

I can no longer access the Web GUI. I can of course log in manually at my machine to {root@elastix-}#.

    I found information here (http://www.elastix.org/index.php?option ... df&lang=en)
indicating changes were made to this file: /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfgeth0 (or similar file).

Can someone show me how to restore the old file? I am NOT good at linux/unix or any commands and would need specific advice.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts that would help.

By the way, I have Polycom 501 phones that can register to my server, (as shown by using menu/status/lines/line information or server staus button on the Polycom 501 phone) but cannot contact the server??? .... whole new issue.... forget about it.
