In many PBX's the systems have the ability to call your cell phone when you get a message. Not an txt message but an actual call. I would really like this feature since it costs $ for every text message that is recieved. Our company just switched over to the elastix and now our operation costs have gone thru the roof because of the txt messaging costs. If someone with more smarts than me is willing to develop I am sure willing to pay (within reason). I have tried the "trixbox" solution by BobH and it does not work.

Yes I am still looking. However the code MUST work with the elastix. We are NOT wanting to change to someone elses PBX like what is on your website. We just want a module or code that will work with the elastix.

If you can still help then let me know.. Thankyou.

    Hi,

Reading the doc of Asterisk, i saw something interesting for you.
It is the command : externnotify integrated in the voicemail.conf.
Associated to WMI (waiting message indicator)and .call context file, maybe you can do the thing you need. (im not an asterisk expert :( )

Externnotify allows Asterisk to execute a script when a message is left on a user voicemail.

Here is some links you can check to have your proper idea :

    Hope this can help you.
