Hello

I hope someone can point me towards a solution here.

I created an IVR that has several options that point to the same ext, for example, for english press 1 for spanish press 2 for etc.. etc

both 1 and 2 go to the same ext. I would like the system to announce/confirm the called extension that this party expects an english speaking person to answer, this way, the attention is more friendly.

I thought about the confirm call, option on ring groups. I point the IVR to a ring group number, which in turn rings one ext, and checked the "Confirm Calls:" and the "Remote Announce" with a recorded msg .

The problem seems to be that the remote announce feature actually does only work on remote numbers and not local extensions. I can see an auto confirm msg fly by the CLI.

So the question is. How can I play the called extension an announcement/recording before it answers, letting him know this calls expect XYZ.

ideas pointers suggestions are welcomed
thanks

I am not sure about it, but I would try follow me. Create 2 extensions and then try with the announcement!
