    Hi.
    Just an idea like that.

Is it possible to use a virtual modem like the currently virtual fax?
like that, that could be another solution to connect to Elastix server from a remote modem to the /tty0 ...etc
I'll dial a phone number DID to call the modem, and I could do some verifications directly from the remote access without internet access.

    Regards

    Hey Franck:

Absolutely, look into cKermit, it's a swiss army knife for serial device access, with a vt100 terminal and all sorts builyt in.

yup, that' the puppy, just "plugin" one (or more) of your iaxmodems to kermit instead of hylafax.

I think you should think of the iaxmodems as hardware modems with many of the old "AT commands available", you can only connect them to one device at a time, but in effect kermit can act as an old fashioned modem with a "pass-through" port back to hylafax.
