I am new to Elastix following my defection from PBX in a Flash.

I successfully downloaded the ISO, created the install CD and have Elastix running on a dedicated box.

I did a 'yum update yum' followed by a straight 'yum update'.

I did the steps above in accordance with those recommended in the 'without tears'
    pdf manual.

What I want to clarify is where the freePBX upgrades are carried out. Can this be done
directly from the Unembedded freePBX menu using the Module Admin option or is there
somewhere else I should be looking. Also what is considered the most stable version of the freePBX to use.

I glossed through the 'without tears' manual and it's a great resource.

    you can do both.
However if you upgrade manually FreePBX from the FreePBX gui, be carreful to exclude any FreePBX upgrade through yum as the one in the Elastix repo is usually older and will downgrade your freePBX and may then break your system.
