I want to install a trunk UMTS to forward calls to mobile phones and I want to find a product already compatible with Elastix, some tips?

I am using a lancom 1724 with an USB stick Huawei E172
normaly the elastix goes through the lancom to vdsl (fast dsl 25Mb down and 5 up)
if this lines breaks it switchs automatic to umts (HSDPA).

The Lancom products support sometimes offical sometimes not offical umts sticks or modems

ok, in this case I am using the data line of umts, not the mobiltelefone function

I'm thinking that this product is a good choice: Portech MV-370 3G/UMTS.

Has anyone tried it?

Yup, I have. I used the MV-372 personally (same thing just two SIM ports).

It's a bit 'touch and go' to get it going, but once it works, it works well :)

I potentially have documentation lying around I wrote a year ago with information on how to get them working.

What frequency are is the 3G running on?

The best 3G gateway I have found that is a reasonable cost if the Ericsson W35.
