    Dear All,
    Till now I used SipTapi as a windows dialer integrated into Microsoft Outlook. However, after upgrading to Asterisk 1.6 it stopped working. I have tried ASTapi and Activa without any success. Does anybody know a TAPI device that works with Asterisk 1.6?
    Rgds,
    Michael.

    Michael, I have not moved to 1.6 as of yet, but am having quite a hard time trying to get siptapi to work right or even make a call out. I don't think I have a handle on my sip uri's yet so maybe that is my problem. Would you mind sharing your configurations with me, I am using Elastix 1.6, asterisk 1.4. Thanks.

    asterisk manager in 1.6 is a quick different from 1.4 and 1.2
    in manager_custom.conf try this in your TAPI account:

    [AstTapi]
    secret = AstTapi
    #deny=0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0
    permit=0.0.0.0/255.255.255.0
    read = call,log,verbose,command,agent,user,originate
    write = call,log,verbose,command,agent,user,originate

    put "originate"
    then restart asterisk

    Hi Michael,

    I have been trying to get activa working on elastix 2.0 for a day now and I found a forum saying that there is a bug in Asterisk 1.6 that won't make the second call.

    I did the upgrade but I still have no luck. Maybe if you haven't solved the issue yet we can work on it together?

    Thanks
    Gill

    Hi

    I'm using with success siptapi-0.2.8

    Installation:
    1. copy the siptapi.tsp file into \windows\system32\
    2. Install the TAPI driver via the control panel: Start -> ControlPanel -> PhoneAndModemOptions -> Advanced -> Add -> SIP TAPI Service Provider

    Configuration:
    1. Configure via the control panel: Start -> ControlPanel -> PhoneAndModemOptions -> Advanced -> Configure
    - SIP domain: the domain of your SIP URI
    - Outbound Proxy: the IP address or domain of the OBP
    - username: the SIP username of your SIP URI
    - password: the SIP password

    The SIP TAPI does not support for NAT traversal. Thus, you must register to a SIP proxy which does the NAT traversal, or use a dedicated outbound proxy.

    For example, if your SIP URI is sip:15990@fwd.pulver.com and you are behinod NAT, configure the TAPI:
    SIP domain: fwd.pulver.com
    outbound proxy: fwdnat.pulver.com:5082;lr
    user: 15990
    password: guess what

    Note: If you do not need an outboundproxy, leave this field empty. If you specify an outboundproxy make sure to add the ";lr" parameter (without "").

    2. Configure your TAPI application to use the SIP TAPI
