Aastra1, we have developped a few monthes ago an application to make searches in a phonebook database by first letters or by keyword (using regex).

We would like to work again on this to get a true T9 search functionnality.

I've read on the Aastra Detewe deutch support forum that this was not possible to implement with the actual set of XML functions.

Is there a chance to have the needed XML function in the 5xi XML dev kit ?

If not will it be possible to do this on the 6739i ? Does it have new XML functions ?

Thanks again for your nice work on scripts.

That's true it is not possible with the current XML objects, one of my colleague in Switzerland implemented it with a 'hack' listening to the phone traces detecting keypad presses and "push" the new XML page but of course it does not scale.

The request has been made many times so be patient, it will come...

Now regarding the 6739i, don't expect too much XML for the first GA release (3.0.0) we don't even support all the existing objects yet and no new object, this will come in future versions. Also as the XML is implemented in a slightly different way most of the scripts have to be adapted to this new phone, in a way like you already do between a 57i and a 6731i.

    Again be patient.
