I have read and tried the moh streaming examples in the "Elastix Without Tears"

After adding the madplay rpms from the example (Elastix Without Tears"

In the GUI under application I tried to add "Streaming Category" of "country"

Under application I added the example of:

/usr/bin/madplay -q -s --mono -A 3 --attenuate=-3 -r 8000 -f 8192 -b 0 http://64.236.34.106:80/stream/1075/

I of course changed the incoming music on hold to the new category of "country". I tested it. In the CLI or in the log I see only:

[Dec 6 14:52:54] VERBOSE[6225] logger.c: -- Started music on hold, class 'country', on channel 'SIP/209.62.1.2-088b12d8'
[Dec 6 14:52:54] VERBOSE[6225] logger.c: -- Stopped music on hold on SIP/209.62.1.2-088b12d8

Has anyone been able to make this example work or could you tell me how to stream and maybe give me an example that would work?

TIA.

sfrazier9999,

There is a known issue with this guide. It did work on Elastix 1.0 / 1.1 (Ben tested it as well), but something has since gone amiss in the configs/apps after 1.1/1.2. I originally wrote it. So it is not your setup that it is wrong.

I am revisiting it to bring it up to date, and will have some corrections by hopefully this weekend as will re-release the tutorial on www.elastixconnection.com

Sorry if it has caused you trouble...

Regards

sfrazier9999,

The Streaming On Hold Tutorial has been completely rewritten and re-released.

It covers Freepbx 2.4 and 2.5 and about 20 hours of testing, rechecking, re-testing has been done.

Any problems with it just let us know....
