    Hey All,

It will be great if SRTP/TLS support can be added to the next Elastix release for secure calls (instead of VPN per phone mentioned in this post; http://www.elastix.org/index.php?option ... tid=3#1589 ). There is an SRTP library available for use at; http://srtp.sourceforge.net/srtp.html and setup examples here; http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+SRTP . Keep in mind that according to Cisco, the original author of SRTP, only G.711 and G.729 codecs support SRTP (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_ ... #wp1043334 ), although I am unsure what codec implementations are supported in libSRTP.

I have actually installed the library into Elastix without a single issue, I am just not sure about next steps or how to go about using/testing it out. I hope this link will give some good directions as I delve into it; http://www.e164.org/wiki/AsteriskSRTP . I know that most if not all IP phones support SRTP (see: http://www.covergence.com/content510.html and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison ... P_software , only a short list as other brands sych as Cisco, Polycom, etc were not tested and listed on the link but have SRTP/TLS support according to their datasheets and config), so this will be a good way to get Elastix into those organizations that require secure calls. It will be great to be part of the Elastix image/install with a configuration GUI. Any supporters of this feature?

    Thanx.

Normally, it's with the Asterisk 1.6.0.1, no?
    SIP TCP/UDP + SRTP/TLS.
    It's true?

Just resell and Edgewater Edgemarc, it does many thing one of the things it does do is provide an IAD fro sip trunking as well as TDM interfaces to provide SRST support.

Go to http://www.edgewaternetworks.com they're a great organization and specialized in this trunking market, plus it has a mand process that applies a MOS score to each SIP Call based on PESQ. Very useful for QoS monitoring.

    Look at it.
