    Any reason for SIP Trunk....??

Setup an IAX Trunk which will work just as well. If you want to setup an IAX trunk, will post some working IAX trunk setups.

Just one other question, especially to make it easier, will the extension numbers be different in each location e.g.

    location 1

    201
    202
    203
    204
    205

    Location 2

    501
    502

It makes it easier to understand the examples....

    Let me know...

The operative word above is "free time".....something I have been missing for many years....

But rest assured, I will get it to you. We have just started the weekend, so have a little more time. I just need to add a couple of words to it before I hand it over...definitely to you in the next 24 hours.....

    Regards

Great doc Bob. Thanks for writing it.

But in my case it does not work as my two PBX are not in Sidney and Melbourne. Can I use it in different cities? :p

It will be on the elastixconnection.com proper in the next week or so. I decided to hold off putting it on there (in the tutorial area) as I am rebuilding the whole site, including PHPBB3 forums.

I actually have a large number of tutorials and fault finding documents written, but it is taking too long to the put them onto the site, due to the age of the site code. Most of the documentation I have written is done with Microsoft OneNote, which is really great for writing docs on the fly, but the migration is taking too long.

Anyhow, I know there are a few documents around showing configs of IAX trunking of two systems, but I have gone a step further trying to explain what each part does, with some clear pictures.

    Hope it might assist someone...

    Regards

    Bob

I learned some stuff, especially the trunk=yes that I did not know.
It also raised some questions regarding the use of the user part on the trunk setting in addition to the peer part. But I think I'm clear now.

    leiw3248,

Great to hear, glad it helped......

Faxing should be simple, Ben's Elastix with Tears guide should cover you there.

Why I can't see the Fax extension option on IAX2 extension ? Do you know where is this option in 1.5.2 version ?

    Thank
