    Hi there

Is it possible to use the FXO port of an ATA device and configure it as a SIP trunk?

    Waiting for your comments

depending on your ATA, it's probably possible as that what they were made for.
Your FXO is connected to the POTS, your server is using the ATA as a trunk. However you have to check for each model as a few were only using the FXO as a bypass to the FXS.

Some are called gateway as they did not have any FXS but only FXO.

I have exactly the same situation, but voip gate registered as extension.
Any way to turn? How to deal?

I read config files. Elastix basicly treat extension as client, trunk as provider.
So i cant use extension with macros for provider to have fax detect and callerid ...
    to have standart inbound routing

    Any help ?
