I am this weird problem: when calls ring to an extension (be it external incoming calls or extension calls), we can only hear the voice after the handset has been picked up after 3 to 4 seconds. I expect voice to be heard immediately after the handset been picked up but it was not the case.

Is there any settings can be fine-tunned to overcome this? Or could it be due to codec that I am using?

    Hi.

You could try to use the CLI mode, follow step by step the sequences SIP.
Maybe you could discover a problem?

What do you use as extension... Softphone, or Hardphone?

    Hi Danardf,

Could you explain in details how to follow the sequence SIP in CLI mode?

I am using Aztech IP150 hardphone as my extension.

    Ok..

CLI mode is. "enter into astersik console"
Like that (prompt linux on root) :
    # asterisk -rvvvvvvvvvvvvvv [enter]
    CLI>

You can type, help or ? to help mode.

type exit to exit CLI mode.

If you are on CLI mode, you can see all on asterisk action.
