    Hello

I'm having some trouble with a sip provider in Estonia that gives out it's own software for sip client.
Also it has made available a Url that automatically configures my PAP2-NA phone adapter for the account.

The problem is I can't figure out what sort of Provider settings should I use inside Elastix.

The PAP2 conf that works is this.
    http://PAP2_IP/admin/resync?http://www. ... p/pap2_hot

The conf it gets from there is as follows:
    http://www.hot.ee/hotsip/pap2_hot

Can anyone help me to get the same settings working with Elastix?
I have tried many different combinations and am all out of ideas.

    Thank You in advance

It looks like hot.ee uses an XML file to reconfigure your device for you...yikes...

think of each line in the PAP2 as an x-lite extension. use the setting you configured in Elastix for the PAP2, here is a guide for some settings..it's pretty easy to do.
    http://www.bbpglobal.com/shared/doc/setup-pap2.pdf
(If you are using the PAP2T-NA (unlocked device) for yourself, this is basiccaly how to set it up)

All hot.ee is doing is pointing your PAP2 to their proxy server, that would then handle your account registration within their systems. This means your PAP2 is contacting them directly, and not to your server first.

Just point your pap2 to your system, with your settings...(follow link)

If you are trying to use THEIR system THROUGH yours THEN to your PAP2 a different approach is needed. You would need a trunk to them first, then 2 accounts to use with your own device. Setup for routing also required within your server to and from extensions, to call in/out from FXS (analog) phones.

    Thanks for the reply

I'll try to explain what i'm trying to achieve.

The hot.ee is a sip provider that uses it's own softphone client for the sip trunk account they provide.

They do not provide any tutorials on how to use the service with Asterisk nor any other softphone or hardware VOIP phone.

The next best thing they do is provide a automatic PAP2 configuration url which works since I have tried it with my unlocked PAP2.

My idea was to use the PAP2 conf file for reference on howto get Asterisk connecting into their servers instead.

I have tried using the hot.ee as a server with various settings I can think of. But in the hot.ee conf file there is also reference to proxy.elion.ee and probably something else I cant figure out.

Since I am a complete newbie with Asterisk and VOIP in general I was hoping that someone with good understanding of VOIP systems could help me figure out how to "convert" the pap2 settings into Elastix/Asterisk settings.

Hope that explains a little better.
    Thanks for helping out.

These are the areas of interest. (respective listing) It almost seems that they provision your information from their system based on your user name. They have effectively locked your PAP(config) to their system.(I know it's still unlocked to admin..)
I don't think you can do that with asterisk (or I don't know how anyways; to provision an asterisk system that is) it dynamically hands your info back when connected, via that .xml file (through their proxy).

I didn't see anything else that could help you setup a trunk to their system, you might just have to contect them and ask for asterisk (SIP or IAX) settings.
