Hello,

I want to configurea the fax on Elastix 1.5.2-2.3 trought SIP trunks only.
I have an AudioCodes M2k as ISDN@SIP Gateway and the Elastix installed as IP PBX only.
The fax server on Elastix is configured and I have fax tone from one extension to other, but when I try to receive a fax trought M2k, the Asterisk give this error:

Code:
No application 'NVFaxDetect' for extension
and Hang up.

If I try to check the NVFax on Asterick CLI with
Code:
core show application nvfaxdetect
I receive:
Code:
Your application(s) is (are) not registered
Any ideea?

You need to install NVFax , it is not installed by default in Elastix
Depending on what version you have if it is 64it or 32bit the files and install instructions are on the forums.

Use the search function on the forums and look for NVFax

Hello.
I´m trying to setup a FAX extension in a elastix 1.5.2-2. I use a SIP trunk from TELMEX.
I got installed nvfax, and with the guide of "eleastix without tears", configured the IAX extensions.
When a send the call to the IAX extension, the fax tone is ok, but i can receive it. In the fax visor I can see nothing.
This is a part of the asterisk log:

posting the wrong log perhaps?

a snip from /var/spool/asterisk/full

will include timestamps so we can see how long the IAX2 extension handled the fax call

the actual fax logs are to be found in /var/spool/hylafax/log/

and will allow you to debug the next level after a fax connection is established.
