Router is open DMZ function ,192.168.0.100 to 61.61.xxx.149
another softphone and gateway is 192.168.0.101 and 192.168.0.102,they can talk each ,
But i have another public gateway cannot register on this Elastix IPPBX ,what can i do ?please help ?

My problems is ;how to modify config for IPPBX with NAT problems ?

You have to search the forum about modifying the file sip_nat.conf

Also I don't recommend putting the PBX on a DMZ, because there are no firewall on Elastix... You should port forward specific ports. Keep in mind that some router aren't compatible with Asterisk, because they do the NAT in a way that Asterisk won't be able to handle.

Also, you should be aware that you need a QoS router or a QoS gateway between your router and the modem to have a constant voice quality.

hi.

ok, don't use DMZ for your Elastix server.
Open some port UDP only.
SIP. UDP
RTP. UDP
TFTP UDP
IAX2.UDP

and use to redirect port from your routeur.

including nat config into sip.conf . (if sip_nat.conf do not exist)

externip = Public IP
localnet = 192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0

into remote extensions, enable nat=yes

CLI>restart now

that's all ;)

Post edited by: danardf, at: 2008/07/27 12:22

Exactly

I use a Linksys WRT54GV2 with dd-wrt firmware V23 SP2
it's very cool.

if sip_nat.conf doesn't exists just create it ... look into the sip config file there's an include of that file.

If you have that router you should be able to install v24 of DD-WRT there is a version that have a SIP Proxy in it to facilitate NATting SIP.

If you plan to only have one SIP device (Elastix) behind NAT router, you could try to only make port forward of the following ports, but sometimes some nat router doesn't work.

UDP 5060:5080
UDP 10000:20000

If you see an option to enable static NAT enable that that could help, but the best solution would be to install the SIP aware version of dd-wrt and configure it properly, so you could register phone from the untrusted Internet even in dual NAT situation, you could also receive anonymous SIP calls through ENUM (e164.org)
