I loaded that new security module to see how it works and now I cannot log into my server.
I get to the login and screen log in and then it will only go to a blank page?

Any ideas why and how to resolve. It that module is supposed to lock you out then it works great.

Hi tbooth,

It seems something went wrong :(. Remember this is just a beta now. We would need more details on how you installed and maybe some screenshots on the error. Reporting a bug would be great so that developers can work with you to fix this.

Hi tbooth,

You can not make a ssh to your server or you can not enter by the web interface?
Did you do something in the module or you just loaded it?

Well maybe your problem could be solved applying the following comands in the server you loaded the module

/sbin/iptables -F
/sbin/iptables -X
/sbin/iptables -Z
/sbin/iptables -t nat -F

Best regards,

Alberto

Those commands did not work for me. I downloaded it and installed it from the package manager.
I do have command line access, is there a way I can removed it from the command line.

I can log into the server web address and login then it still goes to a blank screen.

To uninstall it from the command line:

yum remove elastix-security

Should remove it. i don't know if it would fix your issue.

Try

tail -f /var/log/httpd/error_log

That should give us a clue of waht is going on and help us fix the issue.

i think its an isolated issue or a bad install, in my 4 testbed systems the module appears and work reasonably good for a 1st beta...
obviously is a http issue...did you try to clean your firefox / explorer / etc web browser cache???? its a common issue to have erros with the cache ...

Yes I have tried that and with 3 different browsers. I'm trying to avoid a reload. I'm not a linux expert but this must mean something:

[root@cpdipbx ~]# tail -f /var/log/httpd/error_log
[Sun Jan 16 04:02:05 2011] [notice] Digest: generating secret for digest authentication ...
[Sun Jan 16 04:02:05 2011] [notice] Digest: done
[Sun Jan 16 04:02:05 2011] [notice] Apache/2.2.3 (CentOS) configured -- resuming normal operations

I can get to the welcome screen and log on then it goes to a blank page.
