When I logged on to my Elastix box and typed in "asterisk -r" to view my Asterisk CLI, every now and then, the message "Remote UNIX connection" and "Remote UNIX connection disconnected" appears over and over again (every couple of minutes) How can I make it disappear?

    Code:
    Asterisk 1.2.18, Copyright (C) 1999 - 2006 Digium, Inc. and others.

Connected to Asterisk 1.2.18 currently running on xxx (pid = 17138)
    Verbosity is at least 20

    Thanks in Advance.

rasterisk -x "core set verbose 0" or

    service httpd stop

and they will all go away, of course then you then won't know what's happening or be able to do anything useful :)

If it offends you that your system is letting you know what's happening, then from bash:-

    tail -f /var/log/asterisk/full|grep -v "Remote UNIX connection"

and don't use the asterisk CLI
