    remote extensions over VPN settings
    Asterisk server at site ( A )
    2 remote phones at site ( B ) with a VPN in place using Linksys RV042 VPN Routers

    Would the settings go in the sip_custom.conf

    What would the settings be.

    Many Thanks!

    If there is no nat involve, just routing, then the configuration should be the same as in a lan.

    would my sip_custom.conf look like this:

    externip=xxx.xxx.xx.xx
    localnet=192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0 (router on server side)
    localnet=192.168.2.0/255.255.255.0 (router on remote side)
    externrefresh=10

    If I understunda well

    You have 2 private networks 192.168.2.0/24 and 192.168.1.0/24 put together throw a vpn. So I guess you can ping from a pc from one network to the other.

    If that is the case, I don't see the need to edit sip.custom.conf. Did you try to register the phones without editing this file?

    regards,

    rafael
