    Hi all,
    I'm new to Elastix world.

I have completed my first installation of Elastix v. 2.0.3 with an openvox A400P card and two PSTN lines.

My problem is that I cannot register a softphone (or XLite, Porto, etc.) to begin the first tests.

I can correctly activate the elastix console from firefox and i have created the first extention but if i check the connection to the elastix server with the dos command
    telnet 192.168.1.4 5060
    the server is not responding

I have read many posts on the forum without finding a solution.

Please note that the server is installed in a windows network with a domain controller but without any firewall.

Can anoyone give me some information to solve this problem ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Welcome happymax:

Start off by reading "Elastix Without Tears" a couple of times.

SIP in Asterisk/Elastix uses UDP, you cannot use telnet to make a UDP connection.

Thank you dicko for your answer and excuse for my ignorance about Elastix.

I have found the problem: i have not updated the asterisk sip_*.conf file.

    Now all works fine!

Thank you and thanks to all Elastix Team for this great product !
