    Hi,

    1st time using elastix.

    My SIP provider has specified their own configurations for registering to their service.

    My problem is: I do not know where I should place their data

    See below the settings needed by provider:

    *******How to connect asterisk to Provider: Cellip********

    The example below is for the number 46855801963 with password: passw

    The two files you will work are called sip.conf and extensions.conf. These two files can be

    found in the asterisk configuration folder.

    sip.conf
    [general]

    bindport=5060 ; UDP Port to bind to (SIP standard port is 5060)
    bindaddr=0.0.0.0 ; IP address to bind to (0.0.0.0 binds to all)
    disallow=all
    allow=ulaw
    allow=alaw
    context=default
    callerid=Unknown
    useragent=Asterisk Cellip

    register => 46855801963:passw@sip.mysecretary.net/1000

    [mysecretary]
    type=peer
    username=46855801963
    fromuser=46855801963
    secret=passw
    host=sip.mysecretary.net
    fromdomain=sip.mysecretary.net
    context=cellip-in
    insecure=very
    canreinvite=no

    This file will register your asterisk to our server and it creates a connection "1000" which I

    then use in extensions.conf to send incoming calls where you want.

    extensions.conf

    [general]
    static=yes
    writeprotect=no

    include => cellip-in

    [globals]

    [default]
    include => cellip-out

    exten => 100,1,Dial(SIP/100)
    exten => 101,1,Dial(SIP/101)

    [cellip-in]
    exten => 1000,1,Dial(SIP/100&SIP/101)
    exten => 1000,2,Hangup()

    [cellip-out]
    exten => _.,1,Dial(SIP/${EXTEN}@mysecretary)
    exten => _.,2,Playback(invalid)
    exten => _.,3,Hangup()

    In this file we are talking about calls made to the extension "1000" (your cellip account), will be connected to the extensions 200 and 201. These two extensions may also call one another by dialing extension number.

    Files:
    sip.conf
    extensions.conf

    Much appreciated any assistance I can get.

    go to trunk, add sip trunk

    trunk name: mysecretary

    Peer detail:
    type=peer
    username=46855801963
    fromuser=46855801963
    secret=passw
    host=sip.mysecretary.net
    fromdomain=sip.mysecretary.net
    context=from-trunk
    insecure=very
    canreinvite=no

    register string: 46855801963:passw@sip.mysecretary.net/mysecretary

    go to inbound route, new route

    did number: mysecretary
    send it to the extension you want

    go to outbound route:
