One of my clients wants to know if they can pick up an incoming call that was sent to a ring group? They have occasions when the two receptionists are both away from their desks, and other people hear their phones ringing. The other people could answer the calls, but I don't know how to enable them to do so since their phones are not part of the ring group. Any ideas?

Thanks, I'd like to try that, but what extension should be dialed if the call is ringing a ring group?

The extension that should be placed on **extension is the one that you want to pickup in that moment

I'm confused...so the person who hears the phones in the ring group ringing should pick up their phone, which is not part of the ring group, and dial **theirextension? That will suddenly connect their phone with the call that's hitting the ring group?

let's say you have in your ring group ext 201, 202, 203

you are at ext 205.

You hear the 203 ringing, it doesn't matter if 203 is ringing because of the ring group being called or if it's called directly.

Just from ext 205 dial **203
