    I'm running Elastix 2.x

I'm wondering if there's a way to override the "defaultexpiry" value in the General section of sip.cfg (Tools->"Asterisk SIP Settings" in FreePBX) for a single trunk registration? I have one Trunk where the ITSP wants me to use a value of 3600 for "defaultexpiry" which seems a bit long for my other trunks.

    Thanks!

Sorry, but No that is the system default, normally 120 seconds in Asterisk but there are some providers that will take advantage of rfc4028, ref:

    http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc4028.txt

this basically says if you ask for less than one hour, they can deny you with a SIP 423, Some VSP's do that, and they are quite within the rules, but as you say it is too long, so basically you are between the "devil and a hard place" if one of the providers is not strictly RFC4028, and another is flakey, you have to do a value judgment . . .
