I'm running openfire with the built in db. I've made the necessary changes, added the server and it shows up in the UI. I've entered in the info for asterisk AMI. I can telnet to the AMI and verify it's responding. I'm using admin/elastix456, the default username/pw.

However the 'light' to the left of the server never turns green. It's always greyish/white. Any ideas on how to figure out what's going wrong?

    Thanks muchly.

http://community.igniterealtime.org/thread/28619 to fix openfire for Embedded Database

    or

http://www.elastixconnection.com/index. ... &Itemid=80 which will show you how to setup a MYSQL Database instead which is another method without a bug.

It is not an Elastix bug per se, it is actually a fault with the Asterisk Plugin.

openfire/Asterisk plugin have started doing some active development again after a couple of years hiatus, this bug will be fixed, and hopefully the new version can be incorporated into ELastix.

    Regards

hi bob, apologies for my vagueness. by writing

"I'm running openfire with the built in db. I've made the necessary changes"

what i meant was i was aware of the issue using the built in database and had applied the necessary fix. which is why i also mentioned that the server was showing up, as the fix was necessary for that to occur.

so now that i'm past that hurdle, i was wondering why i dont have a 'green light' next to the server name..
