Hi, my serverElastix is interfaced with an Avaya office ... I
configured a trunk ooh323like this:

[general]
faststart=yes
h425inSetup=yes
h245Tunnelling=yes
port=1720
bindaddr = 0.0.0.0
gateway=no
gatekeeper = DISABLE
;UserByAlias=no
Context=INTERNO
;----------------------------------------
; La parte che segue è fondamentale
; per il funzionamento del Trunk.
; Bisogna abilitare solo una codifica
; che potra essere ulaw/alaw
disallow=all
Allow=ulaw
;-----------------------------------------
musiconhold=default
;
;
; Qui definiamo il Trunk vero è proprio
; con la Ip Office
[ipoffice]
type=peer
context=INTERNO
host=192.168.65.240
port=1720
ip=192.168.65.240
allow=ulaw
canreinvite=no

and iax extensions connected to the virtual
fax. So if I send a fax from a number Avaya iaxmodem respond but does
and il log of elastisx fax is not activate the connection. Avaya fax reports an error type "noisy line" and this is the log of hylafax

Ciao vale59,

Saluti

Simone.

Hi Vale59,

how the asterisk machine and the avaya pbx are interconnected? are they connected via LAN (same switch) or via WAN (switch router and so on) ?

Regarding your config (if i am not wrong) you haven't put 'disallow=all' before 'allow=ulaw'; in this way, the avaya pbx is allowed to request a compressed codec such as g.729 or g.732... that is not good for fax over ip.

Ciao Simone,

[ 2675]: MODEM No carrier
[ 2675]: RECV FAX: No answer (T.30 T1 timeout)
[ 2675]: RECV FAX: end
[ 2675]: SESSION END

Come posso rivolevere il problema T.30 T1 timeout ?
Installare il t38modem potrebbe essermi d'aiuto?
o sarebbe meglio provare questa patch "https://issues.asterisk.org/view.php?id=13405"
grazie mille per l'attenzione e l'aiuto

Hi Simone,
the Elastix server is connected directly to the server through an Avaya switch .... To overcome the problem of codec I tried to activate and configure the sip.conf t38pt_udptl in udptl.conf but I still can not and receive faxes and this is a piece of log hylafax

How can the problem rivolevere T.30 T1 timeout?
Install t38modem could help me?
Or would be better to test this patch https://issues.asterisk.org/view.php?ID13405

Thanks for the attention and help
