On demand call recording wont activate

    I did not know what forum to put this in so if it is in the wrong please tell me...

    I am having problems getting the call recording feature to activate on demand. The feature is enabled in the feature codes on freepbx as *1. I tried the suggestion in Elastix without tears and put this "featuredigittimeout = 2000 ;(the default is 500 which is too fast for an old guy like me)" in the features.conf file under the general section and restarted asterisk but it still did not help. I can get calls to record when I flip the setting to "Always" on that extension but I don't want that. I need our reps to be able to activate recording when they need it only.

    Any ideas?

    Have you added on PBX->General Settings on "Asterisk Dial Command option" and in "Asterisk Outbound Dial Command Options" the wW options?

    How and where do I do this? I guess I missed that step.

    Do I just put in wW or is there a specific way?

    Just add them, there is no trouble in the order, then click the submit button, and then the apply change bar
