I have one elastix box in particular that doesn't seem to be
sending the sip notify messages when voicemail is received.
I don't think this box is configured any differently than any
of the others, yet can't put a finger on the problem.
Is anybody else seeing this, or is it likely I did something
that I don't remember and mucked it up?
Also of note, when I reboot the phone, I see the server send
a NOTIFY then, but the content still says that there are no
messages waiting. That would usually lead me to believe there
is a context problem, but as I've said before, I don't think
this switch (nor it's extensions) is configured any differently
than my other elastix boxes.

Ah, indeed it was a context issue.
What I've been able to gather is this:
The extensions were added with no voicemail initially,
and when they were put in after the fact, they had the context
'device' (so 101@device in the mailbox entry)
When I created a new extension and set up voicemail at
creation time, it used '101@default' for the mailbox
entry, and it worked fine.
I don't know that it's a "bug," but it is at least an
unintended result.

Hi

This is a bug in the freepbx. You can rectify it by making some changes in the file

Okay, I believe I have some of it working. My extensions now get the MWI sent to them, however I am using the deviceanduser feature so that I can log into extensions from other phones and this has created another problem. While logged in to ext a from ext b the calls are passed thru like they should, when ext a rings so does ex b. But the MWI is not being passed from ext a to ext b, however if I dial *97 your ext vmail from ext b I get the vmail of ext a like I should. Suggestions please. Thanks Larry
