No outgoing audio for few seconds on incoming call

    Everytimg I get an incoming call on my ViaTalk sip trunk which routes to my home system through a sunrocket innomedia ATA, the caller does not hear any audio for the first couple of seconds after I answer the call.

    Earlier when I had the the ATA connected directly to ViaTalk I did not see this behavior so it looks like asterisk is introducing this but how do I debug this?

    well you may do a debug on rtp of your ATA
    rtp debug ip _ATA_ip

    and at the same time do a ping to your ATA's ip, before,during,after a call to see what happens
