Hi, i'm new with elastix. I'm using trixbox before but many says that elastix is good. I installed elastix but my problem is, after installation there was no NIC detected. What could be the problem? Thank you all...

Please download the Software Drivers for the RTL8101E from this link

http://www.realtek.com.tw/Downloads...7&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false#2
ftp://210.51.181.211/cn/nic/r8101-1.009.00.tar.bz2

Then do this:

# tar vjxf r8101-1.009.00.tar.bz2
# cd r8101-1.009.00
# make clean modules (as root or with sudo)
# make install
# depmod -a
# insmod ./src/r8101.ko

You can check whether the driver is loaded by using following commands.

# lsmod | grep r8101
# ifconfig -a

You can copy the Software Drivers to your Elastix Server via USB Flash

I hope this can help you.

First you must mount your USB flash

Put your USB flash in your Elastix Server the do this

# mount /dev/sda1 /mnt
# cd /mnt
# cp r8101-1.009.00.tar.bz2 /root
# cd /root

then .....

OR you can create your mount point like usb
# mkdir /usb

Note: sda1 can sdb1 or sdc1, it depends on your Elastix server

Nice to know Im not the only one who's been having fun with those darn r8101e NICs.

I fumbled around myself with the drivers on a vanilla debian install a month back, and came to the same conclusion with the ^^ drivers. Works perfectly and autoloads on boot :)
