    Hello,

I have just installed Fail2Ban and IPtables on my Elastix. Followed info at http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Fail ... h+iptables)+And+Asterisk to install and activate fail2ban and iptables.

I am not sure if i have installed it correctly.

My current IP table info looks like this :

Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT 1533 packets, 270K bytes)
pkts bytes target prot opt in out source destination

Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT 0 packets, 0 bytes)
pkts bytes target prot opt in out source destination

Chain OUTPUT (policy ACCEPT 1579 packets, 456K bytes)
pkts bytes target prot opt in out source destination

No information in it. Is it normal? I was logged in through SSH when i ran the command "iptables -L -v".

    The fail2ban.log looks like this:
    /var/log/fail2ban.log
    log/fail2ban.log for Fail2ban v0.8.4
    2010-01-29 14:27:41,671 fail2ban.server : INFO Exiting Fail2ban
    2010-01-29 14:28:49,395 fail2ban.server : INFO Changed logging target to /var/log/fail2ban.log for Fail2ban v0.8.4

Please comment or suggest what am i doing wrong here.

Also, is it possible to use the Fail2Ban firewall for the HTTP/ HTTPS (Elastix Login) as well??
