Hi All,

The Ladies just hit me with another one ... Dig we must.

Anyway ... Day / Night set up within FreePBX to the answering service.

Calls do go through to them ....

But, we are getting 4 rings locally AND even though the call has been transferred, my receptionist station is getting 11 second voice mails, obviously with no message ( the caller did get to the answering service ) .

OK, what setting file am I looking for? any hints

Well, For those of you 'looking' at this ....

The quick - non-automatic on this .... for the short term. MANUALLY set ALL phones in a ring group to DND (Do Not Disturb) at night when you go home; or where ever ...

Goes right to the day / NIGHT stuff you've set up. No extra rings. This isn't 'clean' :silly: but works without breaking anything.

Nuff said on this.

Now, there's quite a discussion, which looks like my problem, includes the solution. Probably solves many other things that aren't even problems for me yet ! :X

Forum Hardware / Endpoints / Aastra "Aastra XML Scripts 2.2.1 ....." been going on for a few months.

Document referenced / linked below ( B) I'm readin', Folks. I'm readin' )

Just to pique your appetite (and to automate this procedure):

rasterisk -x "database show"|grep -E ^/DND|cut -d " " -f1|cut -d '/' -f3 > DNDextensions

This will get the extensions where DND is already on and put them in DNDextensions

rasterisk -x 'database show'|grep device|cut -d '/' -f3 > activeextensions

This will get the extensions that are programmed into activeextensions

save those states, as you want to reconstruct that state in the morning,

Then figure out how to (pseudocode)

is it nighttime yet?
if so
for act in `cat activeextensions`
rasterisk -x "database put DND $act on"
if not it must be morning
for each active extension
rasterisk -x "database del DND $act
then
for DND in `cat DNDextensions`
rasterisk -x "database put DND $DND on"

or something like that as a cron job if appropriate
or as a custom extension if you want manual telephonic control.

dicko,

"Just to pique your appetite"

my appetite !? Geez Man <<< now no answers from you, just updating for my progress report card  >>>

So, I did the following via console and ended up with all kinds of DNDextension files in /etc /root /opt !!! I think I did something incorrect .. :S

Maybe I should have put one of the phones on DND, ya thinks ?

Now back to Pickin' and diggin'

Regards,

Jim

ps. pseudocode gets Karmalized !

A little deconstruction, try:

rasterisk -x "database put DND <your extension> YES"

should turn the DND on <your extension> ON

rasterisk -x "database del DND <your extension>"

should turn the DND on <your extension> OFF

rasterisk -x 'database get DND <your extension>'

should show (or not) whether it is ON.

Aastra indications might take a while to "catch up" but it should indeed honor the DND status
