The monitor tab does not show recordings when using Chanspy with the r option to record.
Also, It does not show recordings initiated by the asterisk API.

Any ideas on how to accomplish this?

    Thank you.

Sure, I think that is due to the fact that the recording name for chanspy was not defined into the valid list name of recordings, the first thing that you should do is find out which is the format name, and then add it into the programing of the monitoring module.

Perhaps less than fully explicative Jorge? especially for a guy who has posted only twice. perhaps you could point him in the right direction more completely.

I also tried copying a .wav file to var/spool/asterisk/monitor/ using the same name structure as another file that shows but it did not work.

Any way to make all files in var/spool/asterisk/monitor/ appear in the Monitor tab?

    Thank you.

On elastix 1.X branch the monitoring module worked like this:
    * checking out the files eonthe monitor directory
    * checking up if the file name was validate on the programming logic
    * check if the is any record on the cdr table related to the audio file

If those items are ok, the recording is shown on the monitoring menu.
The easier way is that you get the recording name format (paste it here), and edit the module to show it.

On Elastix 2.X branch, it was modified, the recording name is store on the "userfield" field on the cdr table, making the module to check just on DB.
