I have just installed Elastix on a Dell R300 2.5 GHz quad core Xeon with 8GB of memory. I have done this to upgrade our services to our clients.

Is there a reason why Elastix only detects 3GB of memory and not the full 8GB and how would i fix this before i put the box into production?

    Thanks
    Clint

The Centos 32 bit kernel that comes with Elastix only supports 4G of memory (you only get to use 3G of it) , to use the full 8G on a 32bit machine you will need to use a PAE kernel and you will have to obtain or compile any kernel modules (Dahdi/zaptel) to suit.
