    Hello all!!!

i am having trouble in the quality of IAX. sometimes it works perfect, sometimes it is impossible to talk.

i am searching for a software that reports by protocol ao much traffic goes ( in and out ) to external interface ( router ). i have elastix, mail server, web server and vpns.....

this way (i hope ) i can see if something in my network is using all the bandwith of my internet connection.

    any ideas?.

    thanks all!!!

    Diogo

It's a network problem, (it almost always is)

use tcpdump to diagnose, this reports by protocol, by port, (in and out)

    Probably not if:

    man tcpdump

gets you nowhere, If you don't understand, then please start over, if it does then cool , you already got it!!. Seriously , it is so powerful a tool , I really can't give it justice, but you need to know what you are looking for, and only you can answer that.

But I digress, as a clue, and as you are concerned with IAX2 then I believe you should be keeping an eye on UDP/4569 (the IAX2 protocol)
