    Hello

When I try to install Elastix I have a recurrent error "Kernel Panic not syncing fatal exception", the HDD is SATA but I changed HDD to IDE and tried to install it, but with the same error, any one knows how to avoid this error in instalation?

    Regards..

Are you sure its an issue with the HDD? Whats your motherboard make / model? Does that happen during the installation or post-install on first boot?

I am getting a kernel panic on booting with the installation CD and cannot seem to get past it. I am using an Intel DG41RQ mainboard with 64-bit Intel CPU. Depending on whether I use a USB DVD drive or an IDE one will let me get a certain distance during installation. The USB one gets to a blue screen then barfs a bunch of symbols to the screen. With the IDE DVD drive, it just starts the boot process and goes to a kernel panic.

    Advice?
