Hi,

Ok it worked with ISDN-connection.

Now I want to make a Digital Receptionist.

First an anoucement: "Welkom"

With 2 options:

"Dail 1 to stay on the line" Here I want to insert a wav sound file
"Dail 2 to leave a voicemail" And here to.
Repeat

How should I configure this?

you'll basically need to sections in FreePBX

first get your script ready and record a custom wav file to use. this can be 1 or many seperate files.

Unebedded FreePBX > System Recordings
the first step is "Record OR Upload"
there is a box here to enter your extension to record from

after you save that infobox, you are presented with another area WITH INSTRUCTIONS now at the bottom

NOW-from the extension you put in, dial *99...listen to the prompts and make your recording. Once done, return to this page and name it and save it.

You now have a cutom recording to use in any of your menus or annoucements.

Go to the IVR config and make a new IVR, name it make settings, and select your new recordings, from the drop down.

don't forget to add your new ivr into an inbound route.

Dial 7777 to pretend you are calling from an outside line in.

Thanks your a life-saver.

But can you make a menu in a menu...

First you press 1 for a voice-mail. And then a another Wav sound must be trigged.. How can you make this possible?
And how to attach a voice-mail to the menu?

to press something to invoke another message BEFORE going to another application is done with announcements.

make an annoucement (with whatever sounds; this is just to get the hang of things)
set the destinations ***
From IVR set your option to invoke the announcement.

Flow:
Call INBound
IVR message (VM dial 1...) ~ Dial 1
announcement is played destined to
--> the real voicemail addy (or whatever)


Voicemails are made from device(extension) settings
you can then select a voicemail box and any destination from IVR options or Announcements destiny.

You can nest IVR menus as an option (press 1 for sales(IVR) press 2 for HR(IVR)...) then those menues play custom sounds based on what is try to be accomplished via options.
Don't for get to NOT loop things to themselves (destinationless IVR's) and also allow callers the ability to return to previous and main menus via different options.
