Hi,
I wants to install a dynamic system on Elastix machine to register extensions on database instead of saving configuration of extensions in file sip_additional.conf.

my problem in configuration saved on sip_additional.conf, if there is a configuration saved in this file for any extension, system skip the realtime dynamic record on database!

so i tried to run #chmod 000 /etc/asterisk/sip_additional.conf not to save any configuration in this file

but this way affects SIP trunks cause extensions and SIP trunks configurations both saved in the same file sip_additional.conf !

how can i isolate the configuration?

As far as I understand Elastix/FreePABX. That is how it really works. When you save a configuration you actually just save it on a database. When you click "Apply" thats when the system rewrites sip_additional.conf then executes Reload SIP or IAX depending on the changes you made.

That file is needed by Asterisk. I don't think you can actually block it or not use it.

I might be wrong... But like I said that's how I understand it.
