Is Elastix support RTL8111 ?

    Hello

    I'm planning to buy an Intel motherboard included build-in RTL8111 GIGA lan. Existing already has Elastix 1.5.2 and want to migration to that Intel motherboard, is it need install Elastix 1.6.0 to support it ?

    Leiw,

    Unless you want to go through the painful process of adding the drivers for the RTL8111, I would recommend obtaining the 1.6 Stable. The drivers are included as part of the standard build as is better support for the ICH range of chipsets which generally comes on the Gigabyte M'Board.

    Intel Core 2 Duo
    with Mirrored Drives.

    I just know 1.6.0 version support G45+ICH10R, that is good inforamtion !

    thats a definite...you should have no problems,

    Just for anyone else reading this, if you are going to use the onboard raid, try to head for a minimum of the ICH10R chipset.

    Secondly, use it for mirrored drives only....do not use it for Raid 5, the Intel chipset is pretty well useless when it comes down to actually trying to recover.

    If you need Raid5, go for a dedicated card.....
