A seller could provide lower-price IP phone, but these phones have no FCC ID. I know all regular phones need FCC ID in US, but ip phone is not PSTN phone.

If setting a elastix server with PCI card connecting PSTN in US, Asterisk PCI card and ip phone also need FCC ID or just a option?

yukon9. Don't piss the FCC off. First rule of economics -- There are no free lunches. If you are new to Elastix, do yourself a favor and don't cut corners. The money you save on some cheap phones wont' be worth the headache and time spent down the road, some of which could be behind bars if you so something illegal. Buy Polycom phones and learn how to configure the cfg and sip files. You'll be very happy you did.
