    Hi all,

    i need to use the elastix server for some other function so is there any way to install a GUI interface for the centos 5? X windows or Gnome or KDE will work fine with me.

    I think you can run "yum install kdebase" or something similar.

    At first yum install "X Window System"
    And then yum install "GNOME Desktop Environment"

    Now you have GNOME :woohoo:

    Code:
    yum update yum

    To fix a problem with a dependency if using gnome.

    wget http://mirror.centos.org/centos/5/os/i386/CentOS/nautilus-sendto-.7-5.fc6.i386.rpm  && rpm -Uvh --nodeps nautilus-sendto-0.7-5.fc6.i386.rpm

    yum grouplist #Shows list of available groups

    # Substitute "KDE (K Desktop Environment)" for "GNOME Desktop Environment" if you prefer. #Not tested

    yum groupinstall "X Window System" "GNOME Desktop Environment"

    yum install firefox

    startx

    #goto 127.0.0.1 in firefox. Some pages require flash plugin. Click manual install and install the yum repo version.

    yum install flash-plugin   #logoff x
    Be careful what you install. Elastix has some dependancies that can easily be broken if you update the wrong things. It will also possibly break your app if you do the updates from Elastix.
