We have a brand new machine with an Asus M4A78-EM mainboard and a AMD X2 64-bit CPU with 2 Gb of RAM. Everything works great till the install process goes to start "text mode" and the screen goes solid blue and just hangs there.

The other screens (alt-f3 and alt-f4) do not show any alarming messages....

Ideas?

I have taken this same box and used a 5.2 Centos DVD and was able to install Centos. This seems to be an issue with the Elastix 1.5 ISO versions. I have also tried both the 32 and 64 bit versions as well as different optical drives.

Any ideas or suggestions would be great!

Continued testing shows this to be an Elastix-ISO specific issue. CentOS 5.3 installs just fine.

Help?

When the box hangs and I press alt-f4 this is the last line on the screen

<6> device-mapper: multipath emc: version 0.0.3 loaded

What does this line indicate?

UPDATE: Using the Elastix 1.3 install CD works fine. What's defective with 1.5? (And yes, I tried multiple downloads/burns of the 1.5 to eliminate the possibility of media corruption).

Hi there

I have a similar problem with a box (motherboard biostar G31 M7 TE).
It starts detecting the hardware and loading the drivers and then hangs up.

I installed elastix 1.3 with no problem.

This is an important bug on elastix 1.5, I hope it gets solved soon.
