Hello Folks,

I have already created an OpenVZ template for version 1.5.2 and I want to build a 64bit Elastix template for OpenVZ but I don't have a 64bit machine to install the Elastix-1.5.2 x86_64 version on.

I am willing to build this template for FREE for anyone willing to install Elastix-1.5.2 x86_64 version on a 64bit machine and then tar it up again so I can download it and create the template. If anyone at Elastix.org can do it also I can contribute the template back to the Elastix community when ever new versions are realised!

Here are the instructions:

After Elastix 1.5.2 x86_64 has been installed, you need to tar the contents of the complete system as follows:

1. First, create a file called /tmp/exclude and add the following lines to it:

.bash_history
lost+found
/dev/*
/mnt/*
/tmp/*
/proc/*
/sys/*
/usr/src/*
The contents of those directories above wont be needed to they are skipped in the tar process.

2. Now issue these commands:

I can help you get a 64 bit version tarball.........I have a VMWare Machine running the 1.5.2 64 bit Elastix currently for testing purposes and can install on bare metal if you prefer for the template. Just let me know which one (or both) you would like tarballed and we can make arrangements for the transfer.

Contact me via the forums or e-mail.

Hope this will help you :)

Hi Robert,

Thank you so much you are a star!!

If you can do a bare metal install I think that would be better.

Maybe when you have done the install it might be easier for you to just give me the SSH login and let me tar it up and transfer to my server using SCP. It might be quicker and less hassle that way.

Let me know what you are comfortable with.

I use this machine (Bare Metal with VMs everywhere)quite often for various testing purposes..........you know the drill, gotta have a fix for this or that etc., etc., etc............what if I do the tarball for you and place it on our FTP server for you to pick up at your leisure ?!? Would that work for you ?? This way it would also be available for anyone else that may have use for it......ideas anyone ?!?!

Please be sure to view the README file in the ftp directory for root password for Cent OS after unpacking the tarball, (hint...what are we working with here ??)

I should be able to have the tarball ready this afternoon around 5:00 P.M. EST

This file can then be picked up at the following URL:

ftp://ftp.computertoolz.net/pub/Elastix ... age.tar.gz

Thanks and Enjoy

Sorry for the delayed response I wasn't ignoring you just that I am extremely busy at the moment. I will make some time today to get the template to you.
