How to skip defect FXO / Phone line

    I would like to know how I can have asterisk / elastix to skip a defect FXO line. The problem I’m getting know is that although you can see in dahddi-tools that the line is out of service ( RxA through RxD is 1) Asterisk is still trying to use this channel. This will become a big issue when the first line in the group is defect (No power on the Line).

    edit dahdi-channels.conf and change the group of the difected line! example. if in outbound route you use DAHDI/g0 change the group of the defected line to something else that 0. Or if you could remove trunk DAHDI/g0 and make individual trunk for every line (DAHDI/1 ,DAHDI/2 ....) then you could make a new outbound rule that starts from first line and conntinuing to the others. This way you could "jump" the defected one!
