    Hello all,

    I am wondering how to setup trunk and outbound route in Elastix for those provider that only authenticate by IP address.

    So far 4 of my providers, all provided me with Trunk setting and especially the registered string to registered with they server and the outbound setting.

    Now I found the new provider "Voxbeam.com" but in it FAQ page, it only allows/provides
    dial plan like:

    exten => _X.,1,Dial(SIP/0011101${EXTEN}@sbc.voxbeam.com)

    without userid and password. I guess they only do IP authenticate.

    Here is what I want to try using Web GUI (Since they do not provide technical support on this only the route call support) and I hope that the Expert in here can educate/point me to the right direction.

    1. In the trunk, I will setup something like this

    Trunk Name: voxbeam
    Outbound Dial Prefix: 0011101

    Peer detail:
    host=sbc.voxbeam.com
    type=peer
    allow=all
    disallow=all
    allow=g729
    allow=ulaw
    allow=alaw
    nat=yes

    2. In the outbound route,

    Dial Pattern: 1NXXNXXXXXX

    Trunk Sequence: voxbeam

    Hmm. I think that is all I have to set up correct? Anyone please comment.

    Thanks in Advance

    That looks good apart from the trivial
    .
    .
    allow=all
    disallow=all
    .
    .

    But more pragmatically, "does it work that way?"

    jeje dick technically yes because then after ...
    allow=g729
    allow=ulaw
    allow=alaw
    but WTF allow deny allow...what a conceptual puzzle

    Thank you Dicko.

    Oop, my mistake.

    It should only be;

    disallow=all ;disallow all first before allow any other codecs.
    allow=g729
    allow=ulaw
    allow=alaw
    nat=yes

    Well I guess I will try with this setting with voxbeam once they open...Monday.

    That will attempt to send all your calls out g729 first, you will need enough licenses to cover your usage.

    other issue to take in account is that maybe u need to set anonymous inbound SIP...and that is very dangerous stuff for your security
