Greetings all. I am a newbie to both Elastix AND Linux, but I have no fear to type in command line. What I DO fear is that my motherboards built in ethernet adaptor is not recognized by the OS. Im running on an ASUS P5KPL-AM EPU with intel dual core chip. I´ve gone so far as to get the linux drivers and have them on a CDROM but dont know where to install them TO!

the link to the drivers I´ve downloaded is:
    Thanks for any possible help

i had the very same problem (same mother board) in one of my elastix box.
what i did is patch the kernel with asus lan driver.

    part 1

both 1.5 and 1.6 are using xen kernel. but 1.6 kernel is already patched with asus lan driver.
now we have to download exact same version of NON-XEN kernel RPM from elastix site.
install it using rpm- ivh (never use U).
edit /etc/grub.conf and make newly installed NON-XEN kernel as default.

make sure that you have booted to the newly installed xen version by giving uname -a

    part 2.
install following rpm (make sure its either from elastix cd or site)

    now download asus driver (.tar.gz)
now build asus driver rpm by giving "rpmbuild -tb driver.tar.gz"
    now go to /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i386/
type rpm -ivh *.rpm (which will install all the rpms which you have build for the asus driver)

now reboot again and everything should work perfect.
