How to configure inbound DID using elastix 1.6-12

Hi can anyone guide me to the link on how to configure inbound DID using elastix 1.6-12.

go to freePBX and add "zap channel DID".
and then go to /etc/asterisk and edit chan_dahdi.conf, replace context=from-pstn to context=from-zaptel.
then edit dahdi-channels.conf replace same for your FXO channels.
restart both asterisk and dahdi.
now your DID should work.

thanks for the quick reply. i am using SIP not zap. do you have configuration using sip? thanks.

if you are using sip, then your provider should already provide the did in the header and just create an inbound route for that did.

If you are not sure what did your provider send, look at the log (/var/log/asterisk/full) or in the cli in real time.

If your provider does not transmit the did, you can try to change the regitry string by adding the /yourdid at the end to transmit yourdid, or you will have to create a context for this trunk to do it manually.
